Men's Psychologist Brisbane
At Hardwick Psychological Services, we support men across Brisbane who want to understand their experiences, improve wellbeing and make meaningful changes in their lives. Our team provides evidence-based psychological support in a confidential and comfortable environment.

Support for Men’s Mental Health
Many men experience stress, pressure or emotional difficulties at different stages of life. It can sometimes feel hard to talk about these concerns or know where to start.
In fact, research shows that only around 37 percent of men1 and boys seek support when they need it. Some men bottle up their feelings or hesitate to talk with friends or family. However, we know that early support can make a meaningful difference. Therapy offers a private space to explore challenges at a pace that feels right for you.
Our psychologists work collaboratively with men to build clarity, confidence and practical skills. We draw on evidence-based approaches and aim to provide support that is grounded, respectful and focused on your goals.
Common Concerns Men Seek Support For
You do not need to have a clear diagnosis or a specific problem before reaching out. Many men attend therapy simply to gain perspective, manage relationships, make important decisions or improve overall wellbeing.
Men engage in therapy for a wide range of reasons. Some of the common concerns include:
- Anxiety, stress or burnout
- Low mood or depression
- Relationship or communication difficulties
- Work pressures and performance concerns
- Trauma, PTSD or difficult life experiences
- Anger or emotional regulation concerns
- Identity or life transition challenges
- Health related changes or adjustment issues

Do many men seek therapy?
Yes. Many men attend therapy for support with stress, relationships, performance pressures, trauma, mood and general wellbeing.
Seeing a psychologist for support with mental health is no different from seeing a doctor for a broken bone.
While the research shows that men have historically been less likely to seek support, campaigns such as Men’s Health Week continue to raise awareness. Between 2012 and 2021 about 30% of men accessed a medicare rebated mental health service.
