Dr Casey Roberts
SENIOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
BA (Hons I), GradCert (Couns), MPsych (Clin), PhD

Casey is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting people across the lifespan, particularly adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, neurodiversity, personality difficulties, psychosis, relationship difficulties, and other complex mental health challenges. She recognises that people's experiences rarely fit neatly into a single diagnosis and takes a holistic approach that considers the whole person, their strengths, relationships, and life circumstances.
Casey has worked across public and private mental health services, including community, acute, and specialist forensic settings. She is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and create meaningful and lasting change. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and individualised. Recognising that no two people are the same, Casey draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailors treatment to each person's unique needs, strengths, values, and goals.
In addition to her clinical work, Casey provides supervision and training to psychologists and is actively involved in university teaching and research. She holds a PhD focused on therapeutic relationships, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented practice, and has published research in leading international journals. Her research reinforced what she has observed throughout her career: meaningful change is often grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. As a result, Casey places particular importance on creating a safe, authentic, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move towards the life they want to lead. Casey understands that starting therapy can feel daunting and aims to create a welcoming, respectful, and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore challenges at their own pace.
